Roger L. Kelsey

    Roger L. Kelsey, 73, of Monroe, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2012, at his residence.
    He was born on Wednesday, June 22, 1938, in Adams County, to the late Clair and Mildred (Miller) Kelsey.
    He married Glenna J. Bladen on April 26, 1975; she survives.
    Roger served in the U.S. Army from 1961-1963 and was a member of the Salem Community Church, the American Legion Post No. 43, and the NRA.
    He worked at Decatur Industries for over 30 years before retiring in June of 2000 from Rutherford Woodworking.
    Among survivors are his son, Jason (Darlene) Johnson of Pleasant Mills; daughters, Donna S. (Jeff) Hart of Jacksonville, Fla.; and Karen (Brian) Keffer of Goshen; sister, Mary Ann (Roger) Snyder of Monroe; and two grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Kassidy Johnson.
    He was preceded in death by a brother, Herman Kelsey.
    Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20, in Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home.
    Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 21, also at the funeral home, with Pastor Jim Compton officiating.
    Burial will follow in Tricker Cemetery, Monroe, with military graveside honors by the American Legion Post No. 43 Color Guard.
    Preferred memorials are to Salem Community Church or Family LifeCare.
