Robert T. Helm

    Robert T. Helm, 92, of Decatur, died at 1:40 a.m. Friday in Parkview Hospital at Fort Wayne.
    He married Rosali P. Miller; she passed away on May 25, 2003.
    He was a member of Zion United Church of Christ and American Legion Post 43, both in Decatur, and was an avid golfer.
    During World War II, he served in the United States Army Air Corps.
    Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Max (Cynthia G.) Royer of Fort Wayne; one sister, Mary Miller of Decatur; and one grandson, Adam Royer (and wife Brandy) of Fort Wayne.
    He was preceded in death by one grandson, Shanon Royer, and three brothers, Arthur, Kenneth, and James Helm.
    Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, with visitation from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.
    Burial will be in Decatur Cemetery, with military graveside honors by the color guard from American Legion Post 43.
    Preferred memorials are to Zion United Church of Christ or to the donor's choice.
