Robert A. Lengerich

    Robert A. Lengerich, 88, Fort Wayne, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013.
    He was born in Decatur to the late August and Ellen Lengerich.
    Robert retired as a technician from Rea Magnet Wire. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church of Fort Wayne. He proudly served in the United States Navy during WWII, was a member of the St. Vincent dePaul Society and volunteered at the Literacy Alliance. 
    Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Irene Lengerich of Fort Wayne; two daughters, Catherine Lengerich and Mary (Dennis) Donlan, both of Fort Wayne; two grandsons, Mark Watson Jr., and Brian (Emily) Watson; and three sisters, Germaine (Glenn) Straub of Decatur, Delores (Carl) Mankey of Craigville and Mary Ann Dale of Decatur.
    Robert was preceded in death by six brothers Arthur, Clarence, Julius, twin-brother Raymond, Richard, and Aloysius Lengerich; and 4 sisters Amelia Loshe, Lucille Brite, Sister Redempta and Sister Eymardine. 
    Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 4500 South Fairfield Ave.
    Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Sunday at D.O. McComb and Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 S. Fairfield Ave with a Vigil/Rosary service at 6 p.m.. and one hour prior to service at the church.
    Entombment in Catholic Cemetery. 
    Preferred memorials may be made to Masses or St. Vincent dePaul Society.
