Robert L. Nussbaum

    Robert L. Nussbaum, 87, Berne, died Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at Swiss Village in Berne.
    Robert was born July 27, 1926, in Adams County, to the late Albert and Grace (Reinhard) Nussbaum.
    He married Barbara Byerly July 9, 1949; she survives.
    Robert was a member of Pleasant Dale Church of the Brethren, where he was a deacon, Sunday school teacher and Sunday school superintendent. He worked as a carpenter for Loren Liechty and also worked for CTS, where he retired after 10 years of service.
    Robert enjoyed woodworking, camping, gardening and being with family.
    Survivors include a son, Kip (Becky) Nussbaum of Berne; two daughters, Karleen (Ron) Sprunger of Berne and Pam (Phil) Sheets of Wabash; two brothers, David (Louise) Nussbaum of Berne and Ted (Claudia) Nussbaum of Woodburn; three sisters, Betty Lehman of Berne, Pauline Habegger of Fort Wayne and Mary Jo (Roland) Roth of Angola; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Pleasant Dale Church of the Brethren with Pastor Jay Carter officiating.
    Burial will be in Pleasant Dale Church Cemetery.
    Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday at Haggard-Sefton and Hirschy Funeral Home and from 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
    Preferred memorials are to Pleasant Dale Church of the Brethren.
