Robert L. Biberstein

    Robert L. "Bob" Biberstein, 73, of Berne, passed away Wednesday, March 21, at Adams Memorial Hospital.
    He was born to Alton and Esther (Sprunger) Biberstein on January 14, 1939.
    Robert married Rhina (Caballero) Biberstein on November 23, 1966; she survives.
    Bob was owner of the Biberstein Law Firm and a practicing attorney for 48 years. He graduated from Hartford Center High School, Taylor University and Indiana University. He was the city of Berne attorney for 16 years and a member of the Adams County Bar Association.
    Bob was a member of the First Missionary Church, where he taught Sunday School for 25 years. His special interests included gardening, reading (history), and caring for his flowers. Bob was an avid sports fan (Hoosiers, Cubs) and a collector of sports memorabilia.
    Among survivors are his wife; daughters Ingrid (Kenton) Bailey of Decatur; Linney (Doug) Kinsey of Berne; sisters Elsie Rigdon of Florida, Nancy Neuenschwander of Arizona,  and Gaynelle "Beeb" Study,of Spencerville, Indiana; brothers  Rev. David Biberstein of Columbia City and Ken Biberstein of Indianapolis; and six grandchildren, Westley, Spencer, Isabella and Gabriella Bailey; and Alexa and Ava Kinsey.
    He was preceded in death by his parents.
    Visitation will be Saturday, March 24, at Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home from 2-8 p.m.
    Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 25, at 2 p.m., at the First Missionary Church, Berne, with visitation one hour prior to services. Rev. David Biberstein and Rev. Max Haines will be officiating.
    Burial will be in the MRE Cemetery.
    Preferred memorials are to the First Missionary Church.
