Robert Boknecht

    Robert Boknecht, 81, of Highland Falls, NC, died unexpectedly on January 2, 2011, at his residence.
    Born and raised in Decatur, he graduated from Valparaiso University in 1951 with a double major in psychology and geography.
    He was Vice President of Employee Relations for Standard Oil until his retirement.
    Survivors include his sons, Mark (Rita) and John, both of Atlanta, GA; four grandchildren; brother Ed (Dorothy) Boknecht of Fort Wayne; and niece Dianne (Steve) Koch.
    He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, in 2006 and a son, Robert Jr.
    Private services will be held at a later time.
