Rickie L. Elzey

    Rickie L. Elzey, 64, of Fort Wayne, passed away on April 1, 2012, at Lutheran Hospital.
    He was born on October 18, 1947, to Norma C. (Keller) Elzey and the late Vilas Elzey Jr. 
    Rick graduated from Bishop Luers High School and earned an associate's degree in accounting from Saint Francis College. He served his country in the United States Army and retired from General Electric with over 30 years of service.
    Rickie is survived by his mother, Norma C. (Keller) Elzey of Decatur; sons Jeffrey (Jamie) Elzey, of Indianapolis, and Eric (Amy) Elzey, of Fort Wayne; sisters Linda Heckel of Columbia City and Janet Ellis of Decatur; brother Steven Elzey of Kansas City, Mo.; grandchildren Brynna, Ethan, Elizabeth, and Evan; and several nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his father, Vilas Elzey Jr.
    A graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 5, at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Decatur.
    Arrangements were by Harry W. Moore Funeral Home, Indianapolis.
