Richard A. Roudebush

    Richard A. “Dick” Roudebush, 65, of Decatur, formerly of Fort Pierce, Florida, died unexpectedly in Adams Memorial Hospital's emergency room on Wednesday, May 18, 2011.
    He was born on February 8, 1946, in Decatur to the late James H. Roudebush and Audrey A. (Velez) Lee.
    He is survived by his former wife, Suzanne Roudebush of Berne; two daughters, Stacy A. (Keith) Reckard and Tracy D. Roudebush, both of Berne; two brothers, Ron (Margie) Roudebush of Farmington, Missouri and Tom (Barb) Roudebush of Decatur; a sister, Judy (Bob) Pickens of Decatur; a half-brother, David (Amy) Lee of Decatur; two half-sisters, Maria (Jim) Confer of Normandy, Tennessee, and Vicki Fisher of Fort Wayne; two stepbrothers, Jack Lee of Fort Wayne and Duane Lee of Brandon, Florida; and a stepsister, Dixie Kautz of Bluffton.
    He was preceded in death by a half sister, Kathy Thomas.
    Dick was a Vietnam War veteran and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6236 and American Legion Post 43 in Decatur.
    Dick retired as a self-employed truck driver. He also owned and operated a body shop for over 30 years.
    Visitation is 4-8 p.m. on Monday, May 23, 2011, at Haggard-Sefton and Hirschy Funeral Home, Decatur.
    The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2011, at the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Dan York.
    Burial will take place in Ray Cemetery, rural Monroe, with military graveside rites by the American Legion Post 43 color guard.
    Memorials may be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars for soldiers overseas.
