    Richard G. Brown, 62, of Decatur, died on Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
    He was born in Marion, Indiana, on May 17, 1948, to Harry G. Brown Jr. and Margaret M. (Hix) Brown, who are deceased.
    On March 23, 1981, he married Sharon M. Springer.
    Richard served in the United States Air Force and retired from Central Soya in Decatur.
    He was a member of Adams County Civil Defense, the Marion Cadet Squadron, and the Civil Air Patrol, and was a former member of Eagles Lodge 2653 in Decatur.
    He is survived by his wife, Sharon M. Brown of Decatur; five sons, Richard Lee Brown of Indianapolis; Jay Allen Brown of Warren; Brian Grant Brown of Fairmount; and Scott Allen Brown and James Robert Brown of Decatur; three sisters, Peggy Sue Swan of Portland, Oregon; Deb Lynn Armstrong of Kokomo; and Diane Lynn Finnegan of Peru; and six grandchildren.
    Visitation is 5-8 p.m. on Friday, May 13, 2011, at Haggard-Sefton and Hirschy Funeral Home in Decatur.
    Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2011, at the funeral home.
    Burial will be in Mt. Tabor Cemetery, with military graveside rites by the color guard from American Legion Post 43 in Decatur.
