Rex E. Bovine

    Rex E. Bovine, 75, of Decatur, died at his residence on Thursday, August 4, 2011.
    Rex was the son of William E. and Jeanette (Hunt) Bovine. He was born on March 24, 1936, in Adams County.
    Rex worked for Zollner Piston Co. in Fort Wayne for 38 years and retired in 1998. He served his country in the United States Army from 1954-1956 and was a member of American Legion Post 43, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6236, and Elks Lodge 993, all of Decatur.
    Survivors include his wife, Helen Kay Bovine of Decatur; a daughter, Theresa Jo (Jerry) Kock of Decatur; a brother, Jerry (Linda) Bovine of Fort Wayne; two grandsons, Brandon J. and John W. Kock of Decatur; and one great-grandson, Alexander Hall of Decatur.
    Memorial visitation will be on Tuesday, August 9, 2011, from 4-6 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 6 p.m. in Haggard-Sefton and Hirschy Funeral Home, Decatur.
    Military rites will be by American Legion Post 43's color guard.
    Memorials are to James Whitcomb Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis.
