Report: Fired jailer was Taser-happy

   Adams County Sheriff’s Department Confinement Officer James McCullough used “excessive force” in the treatment of an inmate, according to the official finding of the Board of Adams County Commissioners.
    Drafted and presented publicly to commissioners by County Attorney Mark Burry, the document, titled a “Findings of Fact, Conclusions and Decisions,” details the results of a hearing process requested by McCullough during termination proceedings initiated against him Nov. 1 by Sheriff Shane Rekeweg following an incident at the county jail on Oct. 21, 2013.
