Lucas, a 6'3" left-handed guard, knocked down his first four three-point attempts and hit five of six shots in the opening period, scoring 15 of the 29 Generals' points. Meanwhile, the Braves suffered 11 turnovers against the relentless Wayne press, hit just two of six shots and trailed by 19 at the first stop.
Lucas added nine more points in the second period as Wayne stretched the lead to 52-26. He cooled down in the second half and did not score again, but the damage was done. He led all scorers with 25 points.
The Braves will be back at the Teepee Saturday for the home opener. "We need to try and do what we want to do, not adjust to them like we did tonight," added Coach Baker.
