Relay about to take off

    Adams County's annual Relay for Life will kick off at 6 p.m. Friday and continue through 11:15 a.m. on Saturday.
    For the third successive year, the event will be held at the Adams Central football field.
    The schedule of activities follows.
    
Friday
    5 p.m. — Silent auction setup.
    5-8 p.m. — Dinner served by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.
    6 p.m. — Opening ceremony.
    6-9 p.m.— Silent auction.
    6:15 p.m. — Survivior lap and caregiver lap around the track.
    6:30-7:30 p.m. — Spinning on the infield, with stationary bicycles, costing $1 for 10 minutes.
    6:30 p.m. — Obtain scavenger hunt list at Meri's Angels' tent.
    6:45-7:45 p.m. — Madison Stoppenhagen performs.
    7:30 p.m. — Ms. Relay crowning.
    7:45-8:45 p.m. — Live auction.
    9 p.m. — Silent auction bidding ends.
    9-9:30 p.m. — Payments for all auction items sold.
    9:30 p.m. — Caregiver Award presented.
    9:30 p.m. — Luminaria lighted.
    10:30 p.m. — Karaoke singing at $1 per song.
    Midnight — Pizza party.

Saturday
    12:30 a.m. — Dance music.
    1 a.m. — Relay Scrabble.
    2 a.m. — Movie to be shown.
    7:30 a.m. — Music.
    9 a.m. — Fight Back ceremony.
    10-10:45 a.m. — Performance by dancers from Razz M' Jazz Dance Studio in Decatur.
    11 a.m. — Presentation of awards.
    11:15 a.m. — Closing ceremony.
