Raymond Lehman

    Raymond Lehman, 83, Coldwater, Mich., passed away Dec. 4, 2013, at home with his family.
    He was born March 30, 1930, in Berne, the son of the late Myron and Frieda (Rauch) Lehman.
    Raymond taught elementary school in Decatur for 16 years and served as Audio Visual Administrator for 21 years in East Allen County Schools in New Haven. He enjoyed traveling and woodworking.
    Surviving are his spouse of 64 years Bonnie (Schieferstein); six children, Vicki (Doug) Butler of Van Wert, Ohio, Dr. Ronald (Joyce) Lehman of Whitehall, Mich., Jan Hurley of Kendallville, Jeffery Lehman of Avon, Ohio, Amy Lehman of Kalamazoo, Mich. and Sally (Steve) Gerber of Fort Wayne; seven grandchildren, Joshua, Katie, Nicole, Carmen, Alex, Evan and Mason; a step-grandchild, Sophie; a great-grandchild, Elise; three step-great-grandchildren, Kyle, Kaleb and Chris; and a sister, Colleen Gaunt of Decatur.
    At Ray’s request there will be no viewing, visitation or services.
     Burial is in the Decatur Cemetery.
    Should friends and family wish, they may make memorial donations in honor of Ray to Girl Scouts of Northern Indiana, Boy Scouts and/or Habitat for Humanity.
