Randy L. Wilson, 50, of Bryant, passed away at 12:23 p.m. on Wednesday, June 13, in Raliegh, N.C.
He was born in Wells County on March 8, 1962, to the late Robert L. Wilson and Bessie L. (Vanover) Wilson; she survives in Quincy, Michigan.
Randy was a 1980 graduate of Southern Wells and was a self employed carpenter working with Clean Fuels of Indiana. He loved to do woodworking.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1980-88, where he was nuclear classified, on the submarine tender USS Hunley and aircraft carrier USS Forrestal.
Among survivors are his brothers, Scott (Carla) Wilson of Quincy; Robert D. (Sue) Wilson of Liberty, Ind.; Larry L. Wilson of Australia; and Jeffrie K. (Michelle) Wilson of Phoenix, N.Y.; sisters, Paula Yokum of Tok, Alaska; and Carole (William) Baumbauer of Liberty; and his faithful companion German Shepherd, Chaos.
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Monday, June 18, at Goodwin Memorial Chapel, Bluffton
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, also at the chapel, with Pastor Wilbur Taylor officiating.
Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Pennville, Ind., with military graveside rites conducted by the U.S. Navy and the American Legion.
Preferred memorials are to Union Chapel Church of the Nazarene.
