    Ralph E. Jackson, 81, of Decatur, died at 5:16 p.m. Thursday in Englewood Nursing Home at Fort Wayne.
    He was born to Rolla R. and Oda Gay Jackson.
    He retired in 1969 from General Electric Corp. after 40 years of service and was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Air Force from 1951-53.
    Surviving are his wife, Sharon L. Jackson of Decatur; two daughters, Monica Johnson and Mrs. Dan (Lori) Workinger of Decatur; one son, Timothy W. Jackson (and wife Renee) of Linn Grove; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Scott (Kay) Saylor of Decatur and Mrs. Mike (Nancy) Riley of East Massillion, Ohio; one stepson, Mark McMillen of Bullhead City, Arizona; one brother, Marion M. Jackson of Centreville, Alabama; two sisters, Elva M. Liechty of Fort Wayne and Eloise Smith of Marietta, Georgia; seven grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; three great-grandsons; and one stepgreat-granddaughter.
    He was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Jackson, and one sister, Clarice Lawson.
    Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, with burial in Decatur Cemetery.
    Visiting hours are 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and 3-6 p.m. on Sunday in Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur.
