Ralph A. Bollinger

    Ralph A. Bollinger, 81, Decatur, died Saturday, April 5, 2014, at his residence.
    Ralph was born Jan. 19, 1933, in Adams County, to the late Arlie D. and Pearl M. (May) Bollinger.
    He married Nancy Joan Clark Aug. 28, 1955; she survives.
    Ralph was a member of First United Methodist Church, served as an usher and youth counselor for the churches M.Y.F. He was a member of the Decatur Masonic Lodge 571 F.&A.M., was a former past Exalted Ruler at the Elks Lodge from 1963-64 and Explorer Scout Advisor 2062. Ralph retired in 2008 from Central Soya Research Farm. He served his country in the United States Army.
    Surviving are a son, Duke (Taya) Bollinger of Decatur; a daughter, Bobbie J. Arnold of Decatur; three sisters, Joan Meyer, Mary (Al) Brune, both of Decatur and Helen Adams of Fort Wayne; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Royal Bollinger; a sister, Florine Snyder; and a granddaughter, Daphne Arnold.
    A memorial visitation will be held from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Saturday at Haggard-Sefton and Hirschy Funeral Home followed by a Masonic Memorial service, then the Memorial funeral service. Officiating will be Rev. Harold Klinker. Military rites by the American Legion Post 43 Color Guard.
    Preferred memorials are to Fishes and Loafes at First United Methodist Church.
