Property tax bills look to be on time

    Adams County Auditor Mary Beery has announced that property tax bills are expected to be mailed by the end of April, following the Indiana Department of Local Gover-nment Finance’s certification of the county’s 2013 budget order and tax rates.
    The budget certification puts the county in a position to have property taxes due on May 10.
     “The certification of the budget order and tax rates sets the stage nicely for on-time tax bills for the fourth consecutive year, continuing the predictable administration of the property tax system,” said DLGF Commissioner Micah Vincent in a prepared statement. “A tremendous amount of collaboration between local and state  officials is required to ensure property tax bills go out on time, and it is rewarding to see all the efforts pay off.”
