Practices set to begin

    Paperwork must be turned into coaches or to the athletic departments before varsity athletes will be able to participate in fall practices, it was noted by area athletic directors. Golf practices begin today while most of the rest of the fall sports will begin with officials practices on Monday, Aug. 1.
    Bellmont Athletic Director Dale Manis that the following items are necessary: IHSAA approved physical exam form, medical consent card, BHS Athletic Code of Conduct sheets, and Legal Reporting Waiver form.
    Both Adams Central and South Adams have similar requirements.
    Bellmont will begin football drills at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 1, at Bob Worthman Stadium. Adams Central will go from 9 a.m. to 10:30, and from 6 to 7:30 p.m. South Adams will begin practice at 8 a.m. on Monday.
    At BHS, the cross country teams will meet at 8 a.m., the boys soccer team at 6 p.m., and the girls soccer team at 8 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tryouts for the BHS volleyball team will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the main gym Monday. The BHS boys tennis team will practice at 6 p.m.
    At AC, boys tennis practice will run 6 to 9 p.m. on August 1, while high school volleyball tryouts will begin on that day and run 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. High school cross country practice will go 7 to 9 p.m.        At South Adams, girls soccer practice is slated for 7 a.m.  at the practice field. Boys soccer will start at 6 p.m. Volleyball practice will begin at 9 a.m, at the high school gym. Girls and boys cross country will start at 7 a.m. in the south parking lot. Boys tennis will start at 3:30 p.m.
    Cheerleading practice will start at 6:30 p.m.
