Phyllis J. Rapp

    Phyllis J. Rapp, 87, formerly of Decatur, died at 10:20 p.m. Monday in The Village of Heritage nursing home in Monroeville, where she had resided for the past five years.
    She was born on August 25, 1923, in Springfield, Ohio, to Paul and Zelda M. Haley Pollock.
    She married Clarence K. Rapp on November 9, 1946, in Kentucky and he passed away in May of 1998.
    Phyllis was a homemaker and had been employed by National Supply and by Robbins and Myers, both in Springfield.
    Phyllis was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Decatur.
    Surviving are one son, Michael P. Rapp (and wife Carla) of Decatur; one grandson, Paul M. Rapp (and wife Kristine) of Decatur; one granddaughter, Mrs. John (Kylee J.) Simmons of Waldorf, Maryland; and two great-grandsons, Matthew T. and Silas A. Rapp of Decatur.
    She was preceded in death by one brother, James W. Pollock.
    A private family funeral will be held at a later date, with burial in Catholic Cemetery at Fort Wayne.
    There is no visitation.
    Funeral arrangements will be by Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur.
