Paula Thieme

    Paula Thieme, 92, Decatur passed away Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, in the Adams Woodcrest Nursing Center in Decatur.
    She was born Saturday, Aug. 27, 1921, in Adams County, the daughter of the late Martin and Emma (Hockemeyer) Thieme.  
    Paula was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Decatur, where she was a member of the Ladies Aid of the church. She retired from General Electric with more than 43 years of service.
    Surviving are two nieces, Phyllis Thieme and Gloria (Herbert W.) Masenthin, both of Fort Wayne.
    Preceding Paula in death was a sister, Velma Thieme; a brother, Herman Thieme; and a sister-in-law, Dorothea Thieme.
    Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 8538 N. 500 E., Decatur, with Pastor David Koeneman officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
    Friends will be received from 1- 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Woodcrest Porter Auditorium and from 2:30-3:30 p.m. at the church.
    Preferred memorials are to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
    Arrangements were handled by Zwick, Sefton and Hirschy Funeral Home.
