Paula E. Hockemeyer

    Paula E. Hockemeyer, 93, of Decatur, died at 1:50 a.m. Sunday in the nursing center at Woodcrest Retirement Community.
    She was born on October 11, 1917, in Allen County to Henry J. and Augusta Gick Nahrwold.
    She married Walter Hockemeyer on January 22, 1941, in St. Paul Lutheran Church (Gar Creek); he passed away on November 16, 1991.
    She was a homemaker and a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church (Fuelling).
    Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Doris) Rekeweg of New Haven, Mrs. Ronald (Arlene) Zimmerman of Decatur, and Janice Wilson of San Marcos, Texas; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren,
    She was preceded in death by two brothers, Gerald and Herbert Nahrwold.
    A private family funeral service will be held on Wednesday at Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, with Rev. Martin Moehring officiating.
    Burial will be in St. Peter Lutheran Church's cemetery.
    Visiting hours are 9-11 a.m. Wednesday in Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home.
    Preferred memorials are to St. Peter Lutheran Church (Fuelling) or to the "Worship for Shut-Ins" program.
