Paul "Pete" Brown, 76, of Ohio City, Ohio, died at 1 p.m. Saturday in his residence.
He was born in Adams County on April 10, 1935, to Herman and Eva Clive Kreischer Brown.
He married Dorothy Fast on June 14, 1958, in Union Chapel Church of rural Decatur. She survives.
Pete retired in 1986 from International Harvester with 35 years of service and also was a Harrison Township farmer in Ohio.
Pete served eight years in the U.S. Army Reserves and attended Calvary Church in Van Wert, Ohio. He also attended Monmouth High School.
Other survivors are two daughters, Leesa Brown of Columbus, Ohio, and Tonya Brown-Stobbe of Morgantown, West Virginia; one son, Bradley Brown (and wife Alesia Yakos-Brown) of Convoy, Ohio; two brothers, Dale Brown (and wife Vivian) of Poe and Dan Brown of Decatur; three sisters, Mrs. Floyd (Ilo) Meyer of Ohio City; Mrs. Darrell (Iris) Hendricks of Huber Heights, Ohio; and Mrs. John (Connie) Martin of Kokomo; four grandchildren, Brooke Brown-Stobbe, Jordan Brown-Stobbe, Alex Brown, and Carter Brown; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by six brothers: H. Don, Max, Marvin, Ronald, Raymond, and Larady Brown.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, with Rev. Ron Johnson officiating.
Burial will be in Decatur Cemetery.
Visiting hours are 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. Tuesday in Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials are to Community Health Professionals' In-Patient Hospice Center at Van Wert.
