Patricia M. Morgan Carpenter

    Patricia M. Morgan Carpenter, 83, of Decatur, passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2010, at Adams Memorial Hospital.
    She was born in Adams County on April 30, 1927, to Ivan B. and Marie V. (Dager) Barkley.
    On November 27, 1947, Pat married Paul E. Morgan; he passed away on May 8, 2005. In May of 2008, she married Wayne R. Carpenter and he survives.
    She is also survived by two sons, Steve (Donna) Morgan of Winterhaven, Florida, and Tom Morgan of Chicago, Illinois; a former daughter-in-law, Kitty; one sister, Ronell (Jean) Wight of Washington State; 11 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
    Pat was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Vickie Kline; three brothers; and two sisters.
    Pat was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Decatur and a former member of Delta Theta Tau Sorority. She was the owner-operator of Townhouse Antiques in downtown Decatur and a homemaker.
    A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 4, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, with Father David Voors officiating.
    Visitation will be private.
    Burial will be at Decatur Cemetery.
    Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic School in Decatur.
    Funeral arrangements were by Haggard and Sefton Funeral Home, Decatur.
