Party time in Geneva

June 27, 2014

The Geneva Chamber will sponsor a car show from 3-9 p.m. Saturday in downtown Geneva. Registration to participate in the show is $10, with dash plaques given to the first 75 registrants. Cars, trucks and motorcycles are all welcome. Door prizes, food and music will be available.
In conjunction with the car show, the Geneva Fire Department’s women’s auxiliary will sponsor a family fun day from 2-6 p.m., offering a water ball tournament, carnival games, the fire department “smoke house” and a food booth.
A fireworks display at dusk at the Geneva baseball field will conclude the day’s activities. A local youth group will offer free popcorn and sell refreshments. Geneva Chamber of Commerce Director Pam Krause noted that a fireworks display “is very expensive” and she is looking for donations which are “really needed” to help pay for the event.
