Panthers slam Jets 59-26

    Lauren Heeter poured in 30 points, leading the Eastbrook Lady Panthers to a 59-26 rout of Adams Central in girls high school basketball action Tuesday at the Central court.
    The Panthers jumped out 18-7 at the first stop and cruised to the victory. Kerri Guffey and Danielle Gerdt both put in eight points for the winners while Halee Bischoff added six and Megan Sizemore two.
    Alyssa Keller paced Central with nine points while Bess Fiechter and Lindsey McDougall both scored three. Madison Carroll was held to one point. Briona Case, Abby Busse, Leah Spangler and Olivia Macklin all had two points for the Jets.
    The win puts Eastbrook at 7-8 on the season while the Jets slipped to 6-10. The Jets will host Leo on Saturday night while Eastbrook will welcome Madison-Grant Saturday.
