Pamela S. Johnson, 63, of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday evening, April 2, 2013, at her residence following a 14-year battle with cancer.
She was born on Saturday, June 4, 1949, in Decatur, to the late Daniel and Jennie (Carr) McCoy.
She married Earl E. Johnson on August 17, 1974, at Zion United Church of Christ; he survives in Decatur.
At Zion United Church of Christ, she served as a Sunday School teacher and led a small group. She was also a member of Church Women United and served as president for four years. She was a member of the Decatur Church of God, where she had served as a teller.
Pam retired in 2010 with 44 years of service from Do-It-Best Corporation.
Among survivors is a sister-in-law, Kathy McCoy of Auburn.
Pamela was preceded in death by two brothers, Bruce and Timothy McCoy.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 5, at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, and from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 6, at Decatur Church of God. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, also at the church.
Burial will follow in MRE Cemetery, Berne.
