Adams Central juniors Bess Fiechter and Devan Barger, members of the group VOICE (Indiana's youth movement to speak out against the tobacco industry), headed a table containing some of the ingredients of cigarettes in an effort to inform fellow students of the dangers of smoking.
The activity was held Wednesday and included a display of 27 pairs of shoes to represent the 27 people who die each day in Indiana due to tobacco, according to the group.

Great job Adams VOICE. Remember our focus is on the deceptive way the tobacco industry targets youth to become "replacement smokers". They hide the ingredients in cigarettes and pretend that they are not harmful even though we know at least 69 ingredients are carcinogens.
