North Adams finalizes its teaching, employee roster

    Some 12 hours after students returned to the classroom for the start of the 2013-14 school year, the North Adams school board finalized its teaching and employee roster for the current year.
    Personnel moves approved by the board during its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday included the retirement of Ken Gase from the food service department with the district.
    Resignations accepted by the board came from Dave Tijerina as middle school teacher, Sara Miller as paraprofessional at Southeast Elementary, Kaitlin Koenemann as 21st Century preschool teacher, Monica Smith as special education aide, Tony Myers as middle school football coach, Virginia Bartlett as Adams Wells job coach, and Abigail Manley as Adams Wells speech pathologist.
