Norma V. O'Shaughnessey

    Norma V. O'Shaughnessey, 87, formerly of Decatur, died at 12:30 a.m. Sunday in The Village of Heritage nursing home at Monroeville.
    She was born on April 15, 1923, in Decatur to Herman N. and Abbie Uleman Meyer.
    She married Robert C. O'Shaughnessey on May 8, 1948;  he passed away on September 11, 1978.
    She worked at the former CTS Corp. plant in Berne for 25 years and was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Decatur and its Rosary Society. She also was a member of the Catholic Ladies of Columbia.
    Surviving are two daughters, Colleen Thieme of Decatur and Collette Martin of Mill Creek, Washington; one sister, Florence O'Shaughnessey of Decatur; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
    One sister, Esther Meyer, and one great-grandson, Tyler Anderson, are deceased.
    A prayer service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday in Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, with Father David Voors officiating.
    Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Decatur.
    Visiting hours are 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. Thursday in Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, with a rosary service at 1:30 p.m.
    Preferred memorials are to the Angel Heart Fund and the Angel Kidney Fund within the Adams County Community Foundation or to the music fund at either Wyneken Memorial Lutheran School or Heritage High School.
