Noonan, Blythe lead BHS class

    Diplomas will be awarded to graduating seniors at Bellmont High School during commencement ceremonies scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday  in the BHS gymnasium.
    Finishing as the top-ranked senior in this year’s graduating class was Valedictorian Amanda Noonan.
    Noonan received the ACCF Lilly Finalist Scholarship, Detter Scholarship, Elson Scholarship, Don Ray Scholarship, Ivy Tech Scholarship, and Niblick Achievement Scholarship awards this year.
    She is a three-year Rotary Scholar and a member of the National Honor Society. She also participated in track and cross-country and was the captain for both teams this year.
    Noonan is a member of the St. Mary’s Church youth group and enjoys riding four-wheelers in her spare time. She plans to attend Case-Western Reserve University and major in biomedical engineering.
    She is the daughter of Kevin and Glenda Noonan.
    This year's salutatorian is Kyle Blythe, son of Bob and Deb Blythe.
    Blythe received the Detter Scholarship, Indiana University Merit Award Scholarship, and Niblick Achievement Scholarship awards.
    He is a four-year Rotary Scholar and Academic letter winner, a member of the Student Council and the president of the National Honor Society.
    Blythe enjoys reading, listening to music, attending concerts, and visiting his family in Florida. He plans to attend Indiana University medical school to become a doctor.
