Nola M. Ellenberger

    Nola M. Ellenberger, 86, Geneva, passed away at 1:40 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2014, at Swiss Village in Berne. 
    She was born Friday, Feb. 03, 1928, in Jefferson Township, Adams County to the late Eugene Clinton and Iva May (Irwin) Charleston. 
    She married the late Kenneth W Ellenberger Sunday, May 05, 1946, in Geneva. 
    Nola was a homemaker and a charter member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxillary in Geneva. She loved flowers.  
    Surviving are three sons, Merle L. (Rose) Ellenberger of Berne,  James B. (Kelly) Ellenberger of Decatur and Mark D. (Michele) Ellenberger of Geneva; a daughter, Janice M. (Doug) Flowers of Bluffton; a daughter-in-law, Edith Ellenberger of Berne; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren. 
    She was preceded in death by three sons, Carey W. Ellenberger, Norman K. Ellenberger and Roger D. Ellenberger; a brother, Therman Charleston; and a sister, Donnave Sipe.
    A service to celebrate her life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Downing and Glancy Funeral Home, 100 N. Washington St., Geneva, with Pastor Michele Isch officiating.
    Interment will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Berne.
     Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10-11 a.m. Thursday, both at the funeral home.  
    Preferred memorials are to High Street United Methodist Church, 435 High St. Geneva.
