No local balloting this year, but May ‘14 looks crowded

    While many Americans will held to the polls Tuesday to cast their ballots for (or against) various candidates and issues, Adams County voters will sit this one out.
    The 2013 general election is the type which comes about every four years locally — one in which there is no reason for county residents to head for the polls on the first Tuesday following the first Monday of November.
    But the 2014 election season is drawing nearer with each passing day, and candidates for a handful of county offices may begin filing their petitions of candidacy in just more than two months — Jan. 8.
