Nichole J. Summersett

    Nichole J. "Nikki" Summersett, 29, of Berne, died at 11:45 a.m. Thursday at her residence.
    She was born on September 17, 1982, in Adams County to Steven and Penny Liechty Haines, who live in Berne.
    She married Jeff Summersett on October 20, 2007; he survives.
    She was a graduate of South Adams High School and a magna cum laude graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University's School of Nursing at Marion, Indiana.
    She was a registered nurse at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis and at Jay County Hospital in Portland and, most recently, at Family LifeCare, a hospice in Berne.
    She was a member of First Missionary Church at Berne and MUMS and her special interests were water skiing, snow skiing, and family vacations.
    Other survivors are one daughter, Leah N. Summersett, at home; one son, Trevor J. Summersett, at home; one brother, Justin Haines of New York, New York; her maternal grandparents, Loren and Joan Liechty of Berne; and her parents-in-law, Kip and Linda Summersett of Berne.
    Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday at First Missionary Church, with Pastors Max Haines and Michael Wagner officiating.
    Burial will be in MRE Cemetery, rural Berne.
    Visiting hours at First Missionary Church are 2-8 p.m. Sunday and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday.
    Preferred memorials are to the family.
    Funeral arrangements were by Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home, Berne.
