Next up is Callithumpian

September 6, 2011

Now that the Kekionga Festival and the 175th Anniversary Celebration is over, it's time to think ... why, Callithumpian, of course.
And the first announcement from Decatur's Callithumpian Committee about the city's annual fall festival, which will run from October 20-31, has been issued.
The announcement lists three early deadlines.
The deadline for clubs, groups, and organizations to list events and booth displays in the Callithumpian brochure is Friday, September 9. Information and fees, if applicable, should be turned in at the Chamber of Commerce office, 125 E. Monroe St., or may be mailed to Box 902 in Decatur, IN 46733, by noon on September 9.
Meanwhile, the first deadline for entries for the October 31 parade is Friday, October 7, and the final deadline is Friday, October 14.
The committee also announced that the deadline for the house-decorating contest is Friday, October 21.
