Christopher Everett was recently sworn in as a fulltime officer of the Decatur Police Department.

The latest fulltime officer on the Decatur Police Department is a lifetime resident of the city, Christopher Everett, 27. He is a 2002 graduate of Bellmont High School and a 2010 graduate of Ivy Tech College in Fort Wayne with a degree in criminal justice. Everett served as a reserve officer for a short time before becoming a fulltime patrolman.
