A new city hall virtual certainty

    A onetime bank building has become money in the bank for the City of Decatur as it moves toward gaining a vastly larger and improved city hall building.
    Given four different plans for renovating the onetime First State Bank building downtown, council and Mayor John Schultz were in agreement on Tuesday night that option No. 4, with modifications, was the way they wanted to go.
    Dawn Terry of the MartinRiley architectural/engineering firm in Fort Wayne gave a Power Point Presentation showing the four floor plans for the lower floor of the building.  After discussing all four plans, council unanimously agreed to move forward with No. 4, after some changes.
