New Amish school to be constructed

July 21, 2014

Adams County Building/Planning and Zoning Director Mark Wynn appeared before the Adams County Commissioners at their recent meeting to ask for their approval of the re-platting of two subdivisions in the county.
The first re-plat, of Country Corner Subdivision, on C.R. 200S at C.R. 100E was submitted by John N. and Susanne Schwartz. The couple’s petitions requested two acres of their property at the intersection be re-platted for the purpose of constructing an Amish school house.
The second request was for a re-plat of lot 38 in the Gilbert Acres subdivision on C.R. 200E, north of C.R. 200S. The petition request, filed by Walter N. and Amanda K. Schwartz, asks that a 10-acre tract of land be re-platted into two parcels, one containing 6.3 acres and the second comprised of 4.69 acres.
