Near-drowning has happy ending for family with Decatur ties

April 22, 2014

An Easter weekend family vacation to Spring Mill State Park, in Mitchell, nearly turned to tragedy for a Wren, Ohio, family after a young boy nearly drowned in the swimming pool at Spring Hill Inn Saturday.

Ann Lott, of Madison, Ala., saw Rumschlag struggling and quickly came to the young woman’s aid to bring Riley to the side of the pool.
