Naomi Irene Moore, 71, Decatur, passed away at 8:20 a.m. Saturday, June 21, 2014, at her residence.
She was born Wednesday, Oct. 28, 1942, in Van Wert, Ohio, the daughter of the late Sherman and Ethel (Dunifon) Wallace. She married Rex M. Moore Aug. 29, 1964; he survives.
Naomi was a member of Common Ground Church of the Nazarene.
Naomi was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She retired from Adams-Wells Special Services Co-Op. She owned and operated Kelly’s Dry Cleaners with her husband.
Surviving are three daughters, Molly Farthing of Decatur, Mary Anne (Scott) Taylor of Auburn and Mindy (Eric) Tryon of Indianapolis; a son, Matthew (Jamie) Moore of Monroe; two sisters, Phyllis (Water “Bug”) Koch of Elida, Ohio and Marlene (John “Jack”) McHenney of Waterville, Ohio; a brother, David (Nancy) Wallace of New Haven; 12 grandchildren, Jordan, Cameron, Landon and Quinton Taylor; Logan, Mariah and Jessah Farthing; Malakai and Elijah Moore; and Ella, Evie and Macguire Tryon.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Common Ground Church, with Matthew Moore and Pastor Kevin Stirratt officiating. Internment will follow in the Decatur Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 1-4 and 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church.
