NAdams honors retiring 8

    North Adams Community Schools recently held an Open House at the administration building to honor the retirement of eight employees, according to a news release.
    The longest standing employee is bus driver Roger Fuelling, who spent 48 years with North Adams, having started at the age 22. 
    Another bus driver, Gerry Simons, is retiring after 41 years.
    Teachers retiring include Kathleen Thieme, 25 years; Mary Witte, 18 years; Mark Venderley, 19 years; and, as guidance counselor, Carol Pettibone, 10 years.
    Other retirees include Marilyn Sauer, food service, 37 years, and Roger Gerber, custodian, 34 years. 
    During the Open House, school officials thanked the retirees for their dedicated service.
