NAdams budget proposal readied

August 16, 2013

North Adams Community Schools has prepared an operating budget for 2014 in the amount of approximately $20 million, the bulk of which will be the subject of a public hearing held by the Adams County Council on August 30.
The council must approve the portion of the school district's budget that is funded from state coffers, said Larry Carty, business manager for the school district.
Two remaining school district funds — the Capital Projects and Bus Replacement funds — will be the topic for a separate public hearing scheduled during the board's September 10 regular meeting.
