Students in Bellmont High School's Health Careers class and in Project Lead the Way kicked off a day-long seminar Wednesday morning with the arrival of the Samaritan lifeline helicopter from Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
The seminar offered demonstrations, lectures and power point presentations for the students in the two career-oriented courses.
Paramedics and nurses were on hand throughout the day to explain their careers, purposes and lifesaving measures.
Well over 200 students from Bellmont, Adams Central and South Adams high schools took part. They are students in Janelle Gresla's Health Occupations class and Project Lead the Way headed by teacher Josh Salway.
