A three-run sixth helped Monroe Grain to an 8-7 win over the Farm Bureau Lifers Monday in a key Monroe Little League game. That game, plus the 14-2 win by Peterson Grain over Bank of Geneva, put the Lifers and Peterson tied at 9-3 on the season, tops in the league.
Monroe Grain improved to 7-5 win the win. Kyle Brown tripled while Ian Wellmann and Brown both doubled. Wellman had two hits.
Dylan Miller and Drew Schultz both doubled with 2 hits for Lifers. Anthony Mosser offered 2 hits.
Wellman fanned 10, walked 4 and scattered 8 hits in the win. Kyle Arnold fanned 11 but yielded a walk and 13 hits in the loss.
Brian Stout tripled and Andrew Hammond doubled with 2 hits in the big win for Peterson Grain. Austin Butler doubled. Devin Lotter doubled for Bank.
Jalen Hammond went four innings for the win, fanning 5 with 2 walks and 5 hits allowed. Corbin Becher earned the save with 2 strikeouts. Hunter Lotter took the loss.
Murphy's USA 14, Monmouth Cardinals 3
Murphy's USA downed the Monmouth Cardinals 14-3 in H.E.B.A. Clemente action Monday at Monmouth.
Mitchell Coates' 2 home runs with 3 RBI and Isaiah Wellman with 3 hits and 3 RBI led the way for Murphy. Chase Murray had 3 hits with 2 RBI while Carson Friedt and Gianni Symortis both added 3 hits. Isaac Manley had 2 hits, and Logan Lengerich and Mason Lengrich also had a hit in the win
The Cardinals were led by Remy Bultimeier, and Justin Bultimeier with 3 hits each.
McIntire routs Bluffton Parks
McIntire Heating & Air Conditioning took charge against Bluffton Parks with a 28-1 rout in Monday night in Adams-Wells Koufax action.
Josh Brune tallied two singles and two doubles while knocking in four runs. Parker Zeser also drove in four runs after slamming a double and a home run. Jordan Amacker and Jeremy Razo each hit four singles with Razo bringing in two runners.
Patrick McBarnes added three singles, a home run, and five RBI. Logan Hake and Wyatt Hamilton each smacked a double, with Hamilton knocking in a run. Zach Macklin, Conner Hess, and Devin Kershner each contributed a single in the victory.
Patrick McBarnes took the win, pitching two innings with 4 strikeouts and no hits allowed. Josh Brune took an inning of relief and chalked 2 strikeouts and 2 walks without allowing a hit and Corbin Burkholder closed the game in the fourth inning fanning one and allowing one hit, one walk, and one run. Bo Thompson took the loss for Bluffton.
