Monabelle M. Thomas

    Monabelle M. Thomas, 94, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at Heritage Park Assisted Living in Fort Wayne.
    Born in Fort Wayne, Monabelle worked in accounting with Russ Moore Transmission.  She was a member of Sweet Adelines Singing Group, attended church at First Assembly of God, and was one of the original mall walkers at Glenbrook Mall for over 40 years. She loved colorful flowers.
    Among survivors are her son, Robert F. (Kay) Thomas, Jr., of Decatur; daughter, Marlene R. (Thomas) Kelleher of Waterloo, Ind.; granddaughter, Marlo (Dyron) Williams of Geneva, Ill.; grandson, Mitch Bye of Spokane, Wa.; great-granddaughters, Brittany Bascom of Columbia, Mo., and Macenzie Williams of Geneva, Ill.
    Monabelle was preceded in death by her  husband, Robert F. Thomas, Sr.
    Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday, July 22, at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E Dupont Road, Fort Wayne.
    Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, also at the funeral home.
    Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Fort Wayne.
    Preferred memorials are to the American Cancer Society.
