Mildred E. Hostetler

    Mildred E. Hostetler, 94, North Canton, Ohio, died Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013, at Montgomery Care Center, Cincinnati, Ohio.
    She was born April 29, 1919, to the late Harley and Catherine (Scheetz) Lower in Coshocton County, Ohio. She married the late Rudie A. Hostetler May 29, 1940; ho died June 19, 1996.
    She is survived by a brother Bill (Delores) Lower of Fresno, Ohio; three adult children Mary K. Witte of Decatur, Daniel R. (Jennifer) Hostetler of Cincinnati and Jane E. (Bill) Vilkoski of Cincinnati; four grandchildren Liesl (Todd) Krueckeberg, Evan (Amy) Caffee, Brian Hosteler and Kristen Hostetler; and two great grandchildren Katherine and Zachary Krueckeberg.
    In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two infant brothers, a brother Bob (Verna) Lower; and a grandson Colin Caffee.
    She enjoyed music all her life. Her hobbies included playing the piano, gardening, reading, sewing, and cooking. She was a full-time homemaker and a member of the First Mennonite Church at Sugarcreek and the Sohio Quarter Century Club. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
     Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. Saturday at Smith-Varns Funeral Home at Sugarcreek and from 1-2 p.m. Sunday at the church prior to services.
    Services to celebrate her life will be held at  2 p.m. Sunday at the First Mennonite Church in Sugarcreek.
