Michael Glen Rose, 63, Hoagland, passed away Friday, Nov. 29, 2013 in Huntington.
He was born Tuesday, July 18, 1950, in Des Moines, Iowa the son of the late Glen Joseph Rose and the late Frances Mae (Fisher) Shady. He married Denise Ann Sorg Sept. 6, 1986, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hessen Cassel; she survives.
Mike was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hessen Cassel, Southwest Conservation Club, Wells County Gun Club and Hillside Gun Club.
He retired in July 2013 from Custom Car Care in Decatur.
Surviving are two daughters, Amanda (Ben) Penrod and Kaitlyn Rose, both of Fort Wayne; two brothers, Roger (Cindy) Rose of Decatur and Don Rose of Paso Robles, Calif.; mother-in-law, Mildred Sorg of Hoagland; sister-in-law, Linda Sorg of Fort Wayne and his loyal hunting buddy, Indy.
Preceding Michael in death were his step-father, Jack Shady and his father-in-law, Don F. Sorg.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hessen Cassel with Fr. William Kummer officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Hessen Cassel.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. and 4-6 p.m., Monday in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel in Monroeville. Rosary service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
