Meyer suffers first defeat

    Bellmont heavyweight Daniel Meyer (left) attempts to pull free of Jeremiah Harvey of Culver Community during the heavyweight semi-final match Saturday at Conseco Fieldhouse.
    Meyer got away this time, but not in the fourth OT period in a 3-2 loss. He finished third in the state and Harvey won the title, with another overtime win.
    It was Meyer's only defeat of the season.
