Mary Lou Prater

    Mary Lou Prater, 76, of Winona Lake, Ind., passed away at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2013, at her residence.
    Mary Lou was born on July 15, 1936, in Decatur, to the late Herbert “Pete” and Cladie (Ramsey) Irwin.
    She married George Prater on February 29, 2012, in Warsaw; he survives in Winona Lake.
    Mary Lou was a resident of Warsaw and Winona Lake for 34 years. She was a waitress for Humpty Dumpty, Digs and B-Mac's in Warsaw. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Decatur and Moose Lodge, Warsaw.
    Mary Lou enjoyed golfing, fishing, motorcycling, white water rafting and dancing.
    Among survivors are three sons, Greg (companion Debora Hodapp) Everett of Akeley, Minn., and Ken (Megan) Everett of Ala., and Eric Everett of Decatur; daughter, Candy (Doug) Singleton of Decatur; sister, Betty (William) Crone of Decatur; three brothers, Harold (Ilo) Irwin, Tim (Sally) Irwin, and Ronald “Joe” (Debbie) Irwin, all of Decatur; the father of her children, Kenneth Everett of Decatur; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
    Mary Lou was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
    Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel in Warsaw. Funeral services will be at 5 p.m. Wednesday, also at the funeral chapel, with Paster William Whitaker of Warsaw Family Worship Center officiating.
    There will be no burial.
