Mary K. Grabner

    Mary Kathryn Grabner, 90, a lifelong resident of Monroeville, died at 3:10 a.m. Thursday in her residence following an illness of six months.
    She was born on October 30, 1921, in Monroeville to Clarence J. and Elizabeth C. Westrick Beauchot.
    She married Donald D. Grabner on July 28, 1945, in Fredericksburg, Virginia; he survives. They celebrated 66 years of marriage this year.
    Mary was secretary-treasurer of the Monroeville School for 22 years, from 1959 to 1981.
    She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Monroeville and its Ladies' Guild and also was a member of the auxiliary unit at American Legion Post 420 in Monroeville and the auxiliary unit of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10205.
    Other survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Samuel (Annette K.) May of New Haven, Mrs. Dennis (Mary Jo) Linder of Monroeville, Susann Gilbert of Portland, and Mrs. Pierre (Kathy M.) de Calonne of Fort Wayne; one daughter-in-law, Sheryl Grabner of Fort Wayne; one sister, Mrs. Harold "BB" (Carolyn) Blauvelt of Monroeville; five brothers, Robert Beauchot (and wife Kathy) of Columbia City; Clarence J. Beauchot (and wife Josie) of Decatur; and James Beauchot (and wife Rosie), Joseph Beauchot (and wife Susan), and Gene Beauchot (and wife Jane), all of Monroeville; 11 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by one son, Dennis J. Grabner in 1997, and two sisters, Theresa Beauchot and Sharon Wenger.
    A prayer service will be held at 9:15 a.m. Monday in Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home's Jacobs Chapel at Monroeville, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Rose Catholic Church of Monroeville. Father Lourdino Fernandes will officiate.    Burial will be in the St. Rose Catholic Church cemetery.
    Visiting hours are 1-5 and 6-9 p.m. Sunday in Jacobs Chapel at Monroeville, with a rosary service at 6 p.m.
    Preferred memorials are to the church for masses or to St. Joseph Catholic School in Monroeville.
